A baby shower and gifts

So a few months back, I mentioned that I purchased a sewing machine. I have been loving all the fun things I am slowly teaching myself to create, and as I recently had a friends baby shower to attend I decided to whip up a couple of things-I also made a heat pack, but that photo will have to wait as it is on my phone. Here they are: an elephant and a turtle.

I also decided to get creative in the kitchen and made some yummy vanilla buttercakes and baby cupcake flags to decorate. They were a hit. Lucky I sampled one at home as I didn't get another.Yum

some photos at last

Well I promised photos and until now I have failed to deliver, so while I have a few free minutes I have decided to pop some pics up. I can't believe we are almost in 2009, this year has just flown as they always do. Ok, so this first photo is of my Louis chair I mentioned. I think it is just gorgeous and too good to sit on! She will look lovely in that nursery that I have planned in my head for the future.

My cake and my back are in a magazine.haha

My gorgeous photographer came over this afternoon (we are now neighbours) to show me something. She had just received copies of the Melbourne Wedding guide which had a full page shot of Clinton and myself in a laneway kissing behind a parasol. We were quite excited, especially as we had no idea about it. Later, I was flicking through the rest of the mag and found a picture of our cake. It brought back so many memories and now I want to do it all again. Oh how I love weddings (and all the planning/decorating). What a lovely surprise.

The school year is almost over...

I cannot wait until the school holidays. I have two more days of students then one week of planning, cleaning and organising myself for the year ahead. This year is my first teaching and it has been such a long and tiring one. I have had fun and some not so fun days, but I am so excited about Christmas and the break ahead. Yay

I have been planning the way my nursery will look for sometime now. No we are not pregnant, nor are we even planning on it for a few more years. I do however like to plan ahead and so put these things together and I think they look quite pretty. Oh, I do already have a Louis chair, but mine is white edged with a linen latte colour backing. I will take a pic later

Ok, so I am the worlds slackest blogger. It's terrible, because I spend a lot of time reading blogs, but never have the time to tend to my own. I am going to work on changing that-maybe it could be a new years resolution?

November already

Where has this year gone. Tomorrow I will have been married for 9 months. I will also have been teaching for almost a year and my puppies are almost 6 months old. I remember everyone always saying each year gets faster and faster as you age, and I definately agree. I have finally loaded my pictures onto the computer and I will spend some time tomorrow or Tuesday (cup day) uploading them.

Night xx

I didn't know that you cant edit a post once it is up, and I can't believe I said  must say about 10 times-I never say that in real life. Maybe I just can't find the edit button? Oh well, it MUST be bed time- ha ha
Ok, I have been slack on here I know....But I have been such a busy bee I promise to post pics tomorrow of all the creative things I have been doing. Recently I decided I wanted to learn to sew and so bought myself a neat little machine after failing miserably with both my mums and mother in laws OLD machines. I purchased a Huskystar E10 on the recommendation of a Lyncraft shop assistant-risky considering I like to do mass amounts of research on most things!! Well, the gamble paid off and I must say I have been doing a nice selection of little projects, and I must say it is becoming a little addictive. So tomorrow, I promise to post all the pics of what I have bee up to, along with my new lamps.

Finally I have some time to attend to this thing-this could be a full time job I tell you...
Yay, I am on school holidays and so I have no excuse to be lazy here. Had a lovely weekend pottering around the house and I even sewed myself a heat pack. Also popped into Adairs and picked up two bedside lamps-been looking for the right ones for ages and I am pretty happy with what we chose and the bargain price of $75 for 2. Yay for being a linen lover member-Ahh the perks!!!

Will pop some shots up of my creative work and the lamps when I have a minute. But first I am finally going to take up the curtains in the bedroom after how many months....

This hasn't been the best week so far as I am off work with ulcers on both of my poor eyes. Thought I would pop the contacts in after a few months break and it seems I have got some kind of reaction, resulting in a lovely infection. Two lots of drops every 2 and 4 hourly is keeping me busy and the eyes are responding well.

On a better note, my car is getting a lovely new windscreen this arvo. I got a small stone chip over a year ago and it has spread to a full crack the whole length of the windscreen. Should look lovely once it is done.

My little family

Thought I would post some pics of my little, and mostly fury family.
First up, my husband Clint (he is not the fury one). I am so in love with this man and can't believe how lucky I am to have him in my life. He is amazing and I couldn't imagine my life without him.

Now for the fury ones. These are my two puppies Koko and Bella. Koko is the fawn coloured one and Koko is black, yes after the shop KokoBlack. The girls are about 15weeks and they are just the custest and funniest little things ever.

Finally, I am back

Well, after a couple of weeks of computer problems I am now able to begin posting regularly. Not a heap to say right now-it is raining outside and I am spending my day cleaning the study. I will pop some before and after pics if I manage to clear some of the mess and actually make a difference!
Be back soon

I have a blog

After reading and admiring so many other blogs,  I have finally decided to start my own. This blog will be all about myself, my husband and our lives as newlyweds. I can't wait to find and discuss many of my loves, including our two new puppies Bella and Koko. I am looking forward to the journey...
