These are a few sights we will see on our trip to the US

We are heading to Disneyland

Yes, that is right. We have booked tickets to the Happiest Place on Earth in only 11 weeks. I am so excited but have now pushed everything on my to do list back a bit so I can get organised for this trip. We will be visiting Disneyland, Los Angeles and San Fransisco. I cannot wait. I will be sure to update my plans here soon.

I might search some picture of some sights I will be seeing while we are away.

I have kept my promise

I am posting twice in one day. Although I will not be putting any exciting, pretty or funny pictures as I am on the laptop, and all our pics are on the Mac in the study. So, what to say??? I think I will just begin with a simple list as I am good at lists (writing, not crossing them off) and I enjoy seeing everything I need or want to do.

So, my first list is going to be of the things I would like to do over these school holidays:

-I need to get a quote for blinds for our house

-I need a quote for new carpet throughout our house (I would like to do boards, but we will lose height/be too hard with the tiles that are already here)

-Get everything priced/boxed etc ready for our garage sale we will be having. (Clearing out the front room).

-Sort the study

Now, I haven't put too many things on this list as I always overdo it and then get angry that I never get everything done. I have two weeks for these holidays and I have a feeling I won't even manage the above. The study has been on the list for over a year and still isn't finished. Ok, that will be the first thing I do. Beginning Sunday. Wish me luck

Almost 6 months has past

Since I last posted anything on here. What a bore. It must be almost a record of people who suck at blogging. Well not anymore. I am back and I am going to really TRY to post more often. First I will try and do 3 times a week and then slowly do more. Maybe I need someone to tag me so I have something to write about....hmmm

Maybe I will even try and find some pics to put up, or I could just go back to where I left off six months back and go from there. Ok, I will be back with another post later today. Let's see if I can do it!!

A baby shower and gifts

So a few months back, I mentioned that I purchased a sewing machine. I have been loving all the fun things I am slowly teaching myself to create, and as I recently had a friends baby shower to attend I decided to whip up a couple of things-I also made a heat pack, but that photo will have to wait as it is on my phone. Here they are: an elephant and a turtle.

I also decided to get creative in the kitchen and made some yummy vanilla buttercakes and baby cupcake flags to decorate. They were a hit. Lucky I sampled one at home as I didn't get another.Yum

some photos at last

Well I promised photos and until now I have failed to deliver, so while I have a few free minutes I have decided to pop some pics up. I can't believe we are almost in 2009, this year has just flown as they always do. Ok, so this first photo is of my Louis chair I mentioned. I think it is just gorgeous and too good to sit on! She will look lovely in that nursery that I have planned in my head for the future.

My cake and my back are in a magazine.haha

My gorgeous photographer came over this afternoon (we are now neighbours) to show me something. She had just received copies of the Melbourne Wedding guide which had a full page shot of Clinton and myself in a laneway kissing behind a parasol. We were quite excited, especially as we had no idea about it. Later, I was flicking through the rest of the mag and found a picture of our cake. It brought back so many memories and now I want to do it all again. Oh how I love weddings (and all the planning/decorating). What a lovely surprise.
